Designed for high-school graduates, the diploma offers a comprehensive overview of the business side of the arts and entertainment industry and prepares students for a fast-paced career in a growing and dynamic sector. The first year offers extensive coursework in a broad range of topics including a survey of the arts and entertainment industry, computer applications, production and design, and record label and festival management. During the second year, students will advance to more complex coursework and be placed in external practicums with a professional organization.
As is common in the arts and entertainment field, students can anticipate non-traditional hours for their practicums, which will include evening and weekend hours.
Of recent diploma graduates, 90% were employed in the industry within
one year of graduation.
