Each fall, the CapU community bands together to raise money for the United Way.
The campaign launches in September, signified by the Birch Building lit in red at our main campus.
You can support or get involved in the campaign in many ways. Your donations help build communities and support children, youth, seniors, families and people in need throughout the North Shore.
Each year, the University aims and often exceeds raising funds beyond a target amount, through payroll deductions and fundraising events such as used books, baked goods and crafts sales.
Frequently asked questions
At the start of the campaign in October, you'll receive an email with a personalized pledge link you can use to donate online – either a one-time gift or recurring monthly donation – with your credit card or payroll deduction.
All proceeds donated to the campaign go to support programs at the United Way of British Columbia.
Yes. When you donate to the campaign, you can specify "Capilano University Foundation" as the beneficiary, so your gift will support programs for CapU students in need.
