  • The Access Work Experience department values diversity, the opportunity to pursue lifelong learning and the right to work and learn in a supportive and empowering environment.

    The department goals are:

    • To provide learners who may have social, economic, physical, emotional and/or learning barriers to further education and employment the opportunity to acquire knowledge, skills and experience in a supportive university program.
    • To design individual occupational/vocational or educational plans which meet the specific needs of each learner.
    • To facilitate transition to further education and skills training and employment opportunities.

    Education and Employment Access Program

Students who have disabilities that impact their success in post-secondary courses and employment will benefit from this full-time program. The goal is to develop the strategies necessary to become a self-regulated learner in a university setting.
