Spring 2020 Course Withdrawal Date Extended

As we continue to address impacts caused by the COVID-19 situation, Capilano University has extended the last day to withdraw from a Spring 2020 course to April 14, 2020.

Release date:

Tag(s): Current Students, Future Students

This decision responds to student requests related to the current circumstances by significantly extending the date of withdrawal from courses for this term. Please note that no tuition or fee refunds will be issued for students who withdraw from Spring 2020 courses at this time.

Students who exercise this option will receive a grade of "W" on their transcript. It is important to know that a "W" does not have a negative impact on a student's Grade Point Average. Students should also be aware that "W" grades do not satisfy prerequisites for courses they wish to take in future semesters.

Students who wish to withdraw may do so via their myCapU account.

Grading Options for Spring 2020 Under Review

We have also received inquiries from students regarding additional options for final grades for the Spring 2020 semester. The University is currently reviewing all possible options for grading for the Spring 2020 semester and will announce its decision pertaining to final grades next week. Students will receive further information about grading this semester by email on Wednesday, April 8, 2020.
