    The Health Care Assistant program delivered by Capilano University has been granted a full, five-year recognition status by the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.  Graduates of the HCA program delivered by Capilano University are eligible for registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.

    What will you learn?

    The HCA program combines theory courses, lab skills and clinical practicums in actual health care settings. During the 7 month certificate program, you will learn to provide personal care to clients and residents in complex care, specialized dementia care and in the community. Our new curriculum, to be introduced in September 2016, will include content that will prepare our graduates for work in selected acute care areas as well!
