The Reverend Horton Heat (also known as Jim Heath) declared Vancouver one of the best cities he plays in part because of the influence of Cousin Harley front man Paul Pigat, “You’ve got one of the hottest rockabilly guys ever up there, named Paul Pigat. He’s cool, he’s really good.”

Called the “Motorhead of Rockabilly” by a delirious fan after a particularly raucous show in Holland, there’s nothing tentative about Cousin Harley’s pedal to the metal approach to this stripped-down form of rock and roll. Hailing from Vancouver, Cousin Harley can explode like an active volcano, swing like the Basie band and holler like a lonesome hillbilly in the back woods of the Appalachia, all in a single show. Not to be trifled with and not to be missed, Cousin Harley has been rocking international audiences for 20 years, drawing fans from far and wide to their rockabilly shows.

In partnership with the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival.
