CapU Virtual Run Club
Join our campus community in monthly challenges to get you moving! With over 150 members, our CapU Strava Club is a great place to stay motivated (and maybe even win some prizes). So far we have hosted a number of events: Virtual 5km Run/Walk, the Virtual Duathlon, the CapU Rec Summit Challenge, and the CapU Rec Week of Movement Challenge.
How to join?
Using the run-tracking app Strava, students and employees can sign up and join our CapU Virtual Run Club. With your Strava account, you can record your events outside on the roads and trails (or inside on a treadmill or bike) on the date of the event. The app will automatically track your route and log your entry when you record your activity.
Did someone say Fitbit?
Each month, all participants who enter the challenge are eligible to win a Fitbit Inspire HR.
Calling all CapU employees!
Missing your colleagues? We are too. Even though many of us are working remotely, we still need activities that keep us connected as a campus community.
The Employee Well-Being Committee and CapU Rec have partnered to organize a weekly virtual well-being activity. Open to all CapU employees, these social sessions include activities such as yoga, mandala drawing, workouts, cooking and gardening.
After our first successful round of the program in the summer, we are coming back for a fall edition. Stay tuned on our events page for the details on our fall launch.
Lunch-Well is facilitated through a public Microsoft Teams group. Once you join this Team, you can stay updated on weekly activities and the materials needed for each session, if required.
