Did you know that Canadians are recommended to achieve at least 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity every week?

At the Centre for Sport and Wellness, we aim to provide daily options for everyone on campus to meet the guidelines, have fun, make friends, and improve their well-being at the same time.

Spring programs run from January 13 to April 9, 2020, with the exception of Reading Break (Feb. 17-21) and Basketball Provincials (Feb. 26-28).

COVID-19 Update

Capilano University’s priority is the health and well-being of our campus community and visitors who use our facilities.

Given the evolving situation with COVID-19, and considering the provincial government’s direction on March 16, 2020 to cancel social gatherings greater than 50, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our campus recreation programs and close the Centre for Sport and Wellness until further notice.

Unfortunately this means that all of our programs, including intramurals (soccer and cricket) and group fitness (zumba and spin), as well as all events (Glow Yoga), the weight room, and gymnasium, have been cancelled as of Wednesday, March 18th, 2020. If you are a registered participant of one of these programs, you will be contacted directly with more information.

We realize that this may come as a disappointment but we know you understand the context in which we are currently operating, and the necessity of following the direction of health authorities in addressing the evolving situation of COVID-19.

For now, we ask for everyone's understanding and cooperation in taking the steps necessary to reduce the risk of exposure to illness.
