An Associate Degree is a formal credential that recognizes the successful completion of sixty (60) credits in the Arts and Sciences program. In addition to general Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees, Associate degrees with specializations are offered. Specializations within the Associate Degrees include: Art History, Applied Ethics, Biology, Creative Writing, English and Psychology. Some other universities grant full transfer credit (60 credits) and may grant priority admission for associate degree holders.
To be eligible for the Associate of Science Degree, a student must have
ENGLISH COURSES - 100 LEVEL (6.0 credits)
MATHEMATICS COURSES (3.0 credits)- From Mathematics 108, 109, 116, 126, 230 or 231
- Additional 3 credits of transferable Mathematics
- Only six credit max. in one subject area
SCIENCE COURSES - 200 LEVEL OR HIGHER (18.0 credits) - Must be in at least two subject areas
- Excluding English and courses that have transfer credit in both Arts and Science (e.g.Mathematics)
- Maybe Arts or Science courses or other subjects, e.g. Commerce, Business Administration, Communications with university transfer credits.
TOTAL CREDITS: 60.0
