Do you have global ambitions? CapU’s School of Tourism Management can guide you to a rewarding career in some of the most beautiful places in the world. (And that might be right here in B.C.)

Why study tourism management at CapU?

Tourism is one of the world’s fastest-growing industries – particularly in British Columbia, where it generates $16 billion in annual revenue and sustains 18,000 tourism-related businesses.

Jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities in the field are growing faster than ever.

Behind every resort, attraction or tour company is a team of skilled professionals working to shape visitor experiences and build the business through savvy management and marketing. You could be one of them!

Capilano University has been a leader in tourism education for more than 40 years, focusing on exemplary business practices as the foundation of our Tourism Management studies. Capilano’s School of Tourism Management will help you develop leadership and business management skills in sales, marketing, operations, finance and human resources.

You’ll also gain industry-specific expertise in areas such as event planning, destination marketing, hotels and resorts and adventure tourism. Learning by doing is part of your studies. Field trips, case competitions, networking events and industry guest speakers all help deepen your knowledge of the dynamics of the industry.
