Bio
Jeff Burgess (BFA, Alberta College of Art and Design, 1980) graduated with honours from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 1980 and has been a practicing illustrator and artist since then. He has worked for most of the major advertising firms in Vancouver, Calgary, Seattle, Toronto and Victoria. Some of his clients have included Intrawest, Translink, Fairmont Hotels, Granville Island Breweries, Dairyland Producers and BC Hydro. His paintings are in many collections across Canada, the United States and Europe.
Burgess has won numerous awards for both illustration and painting. He has been teaching in the IDEA School of Design program at Capilano University since 2008.
I have been fortunate to teach in the IDEA School of Design at Capilano University for over 10 years, bringing my experience as an artist and illustrator to the many students that have gone through our program. Teaching has been a life experience for me as I believe I've learned as much from the many students I've taught as they have learned from me.
