As per the travel ban exemptions, only international students issued study permits or study permit approvals on or before March 18, 2020 can travel to Canada at this time. If you do not have a study permit or were not approved for a study permit before March 18, 2020, you cannot come to Canada. As the situation is rapidly changing, please be sure to monitor Canadian travel advisories for ongoing updates.

Yes. International travellers returning to Canada are required by law to quarantine (self-isolate) for 14 days and submit a self-isolation plan for approval prior to or upon arrival. If you’re travelling by air, you will also need to pass a health check conducted by an airline before you’ll be allowed to board your flight. Yes, with a permission from both CapU and your home institution. If you are unable to travel to Canada in the fall due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, you are permitted to enrol as a full-time student and take online courses at CapU from outside of Canada. You do not need a study permit to do so. To be considered a full-time student, you must be enrolled in a minimum of 9.0 CapU credits.

However, please note that before you are able to register for your online courses, both CapU and your home institution must be in agreement that your online courses will transfer back and meet our exchange partnership agreement.
