    • Career Development Workshops and Events are open to all Capilano students and alumni.

      Please note:

      • The length of all workshops is one (1) hour each unless specified.
      • Workshop space is limited (up to 20 seats) so please only register for the workshops that you will be able to attend.
      • If you need to cancel your registration, please contact us at cdc@capilanou.ca at least 24 hrs before the workshop/event. 
        If you fail to attend 3 workshops/events that you have registered for without notification, your future workshop/event registrations will be cancelled for the remainder of the term.

      Career myths are all around us, but knowing how to uncover the truth behind the myth is an important first step towards your desired career path.  Attend this workshop to learn the essential skills for breaking myths such as:  “Your career path is straight, especially if you are studying Accounting, Engineering, or Marketing.”; “Stay away from Arts and Science programs – you’ll have a very hard time finding a career path.”; If you don’t know what you’re doing by the time you’re in your last years of studies, you’ll never be successful.”
