    Manager - Career Development Centre

    Prior to Nancy’s career at Capilano University, she had over 8 years of experience in training and development of diverse teams, leadership, project management and administration. Nancy began her Career at the University in 2009 in various roles.  Most recently, she was the Career Development Officer for the School of Business for 5 years where she was responsible for the growth of the Office. Nancy provided career-related support to approximately 1,800 School of Business students in addition to alumni. Nancy raised the profile of the Office by engaging students through additional career programming and most importantly, building relationships with faculty members, employers, staff and students.

    In the fall of 2015, Nancy unified the former Business Career Development Office and Student Employment Services creating the Career Development Centre (formerly known as Career Services). The Career Development Centre now replaces both offices providing services and support to all students and alumni of Capilano University.  Nancy’s goal is to ensure career education is accessible to all students. As the Manager, Nancy sets the strategic direction and vision for the Career Development Centre by assessing and implementing relevant programming and services to facilitate student success in the pursuit of their career goals. She continually builds and fosters relationships with all stakeholders of Capilano University ensuring students and alumni engage with the Career Development Centre in meaningful, intentional and beneficial ways.
