Prior to moving into the post-secondary education industry, Maja has worked in the healthcare industry for several years where she was able to contribute to several marketing and promotional initiatives for a province-wide health awareness campaign. At this time, Maja had the opportunity to
work closely with several co-op students which is where she developed her interest in the post-secondary career development field and helping students reach their career goals. Moving to Capilano University, Maja provides support to all students and alumni in the Faculty of Business and
Professional Studies. This position requires her to continuously learn and engage new skills to help students in different interest areas, including Business, Communications, and Legal Studies.
Joining Capilano University in January, 2016, Maja brings with her over three years of career experience in the post-secondary industry. In addition to holding a Bachelors of Science and a Bachelors of Education degrees, with English and Environmental Education minors, Maja has formal training in
Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
