“Their fiery take on blues music...is just as likely to get audiences dancing in their seats as it is to envelop them in the genre’ tradition-bound liveliness.” – North Shore News
Duo Shawn Hall and Matthew Rogers—recently off their cross country tour for their latest album, Apocalypstick—bring their raucous and self-described “noisier and more sing-songable” take on blues to Centennial Theatre in a special co-presentation with Cap Global Roots. The catchy, roof-raising tunes on Apocalypstic (mastered by the same team that works with The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys, Dr. Dog, Lucinda Williams and The Shins) have both garnered media and industry accolades and a growing fan base, an brought their more subtle, folk-fuelled past work into the spotlight.
Opening act Terminal Station takes traditional blues sound and kick it into high gear. Their
music is raw and exciting – full of fat bass lines, explosive drumming, risk
taking guitar solos and impassioned vocals.
