CapilanoU⁩ IDEA alumni Cynthia Tran Vo and President Paul Dangerfield at the VMF 2019 VIP Gallery opening party.

The VMF celebrated its fourth year in 2019 with an art exhibition featuring 90+ original works from VMF alumni and other artists from across the Lower Mainland.

In 2018, the VMF expanded to include Capilano University as part of the University's 50th anniversary celebrations. CapU teamed up with the festival to search for artists to paint murals at the school’s main campus in North Vancouver and also at its kálax-ay Sunshine Coast campus.

Photos and summaries about the CapU murals, and the artists behind them, are available on the CapU 50th anniversary website.
