Appointed Member (Alumni) - Board of Governors
With 30 years of service in the Canadian and international labour movement, Duncan Brown has extensive leadership, governance and administration experience in national and global unions, multi-stakeholder industry organizations, pension and benefit plans and charitable organizations. He is also experienced in planning, leading and assessing strategic projects and campaigns.
On the international level Duncan has collaborated with labour, women's and community organizations on four continents and has overseen Decent Work projects in Mexico, Central and South America, and Africa.
In addition to being a Capilano University alumnus, Brown holds a BA in Communications from Simon Fraser University and an LLB from the University of British Columbia. When he was a CapU student, he served on the student union executive and as student representative on the college council.
