Service Learning programs are opportunities for Capilano University students
and employees to combine community service with classroom instruction and reflection
to enhance civic responsibility and strengthen communities.
In the Spring
of 2016, six CapU students, one staff member and one faculty member
participated in a Capilano University Service Learning trip to Kenya with the
Me to We organization and the Free the Children charity. This trip saw the group
travel to rural Kenya to participate in volunteer work, community engagement,
formal lessons, activities and reflection.
