Creative problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration skills along with personal and aesthetic values are essential for a successful career in fields as diverse as film, animation, jazz, theatre or visual arts. The dynamic programs of Capilano University’s Fine and Applied Arts provide students the opportunity to develop skills for success in the contemporary fine and applied arts. An immersive environment helps prepare our graduates for rewarding careers in today’s rapidly changing cultural landscape.
Widely recognized for specialized programs in the entertainment arts, Capilano University’s Fine and Applied Arts also offers unique programs in costuming, graphic design and illustration, interactive design and more.
Working with industry professionals and acclaimed artists in small sized classes, students receive individual attention and support throughout their educational experience. Practicums are offered in many of our programs, developed in collaboration with our industry and community partners. Capstone projects provide graduates with performance experience, demo reels, and professional standard portfolios.
Our programs offer a flexible range of credentials from certificates through degrees, as well as introductory and specialized summer programs.
