The skills and knowledge gained at Capilano can be applied to any organization or career, regardless of the path you choose. Capilano offers a variety of employment-related programs. The programs offered are under constant review to make certain that students are taught the latest techniques and skills. Advisory committees, composed of employers, review and recommend content of all programs.
Admission is limited and applicants are considered on the criteria established for each program area. In general, Grade 12 graduation is required for students applying to two year diploma programs or degree programs, although others may be admitted on the basis of their experience and abilities. Due to the timely nature of these programs, requirements and profiles may change. Contact the individual program areas for current information. All courses require basic literacy in written and spoken English. That is, students must be able to understand the texts and other written materials, and the instructor’s spoken words, and must be able to write assignments in correct English. Students who are uncertain of their oral and written English should speak to the instructor or an advisor before registering for a course.
