The following accessibility options are available in the Library. Please ask for assistance or more information at the Research Help or Library Services counters. We'd love to
hear your feedback if there is something that you need to improve your studies at CapU Library.
The elevator to the second floor - where you can find silent study carrels and our main collection of books - is located around the corner from the front entrance, just outside LB128. Turn left and left again after you come in from the main door.
An Optelec Clearview CCTV Magnifier is available in LB128 for students who need to enlarge text or graphic materials for easier reading/viewing.
Students with visual disabilities can obtain books and other materials in special print, Braille, or audio-tape format. These are requested by the Library from the
Centre for Accessible Post-secondary Education Resources (CAPER-BC) - an agency that provides information services in alternate formats for BC post-secondary students with print disabilities. Students requiring the service should
contact the University's
Accessibility Services once admitted to a program, as provision of alternate format material requires considerable lead time.
The Library has an adaptive computer workstation for people with disabilities located in LB128. The workstation is equipped with adjustable table heights, voice recognition software, large monitor and large print options.
An adjustable study table is located in the northwest corner of the Library's main floor.
