    Is university in your future?  Whether you have just recently left high school or you are a mature student, join a university environment where you'll have the opportunity to gain confidence, sharpen your skill set, and get where you want to be.  We'll help you get there with small classes and personalized assistance from your instructors.  We have two different programs.  Choose the one that's the best fit for you.

    Financial Assistance

    The Adult Upgrading Grant (AUG) is a non-repayable grant for students enrolled in upgrading programs such as Adult Basic Education (ABE), available based on a student's financial need. Although ABE courses are tuition-free, the Adult Upgrading Grant can be used to pay for textbooks and incidental fees.  For more information regarding AUG, visit the Financial Aid web page.

    • do you need to upgrade a Grade 11 or 12 course prerequisite?
    • are you a high school graduate but need to upgrade your GPA in different subjects before you can proceed to your university program of choice?
    • would you like to finish your high school courses with us and earn a B.C. Adult Dogwood Graduation Diploma while you prepare for university?

    University Transition (CUP)

    Are you ready for first-year university, but need an extra boost? Take some first year university courses with confidence while adding some upgrading courses at the same time to ensure your success. In one term, you can brush up on writing and critical reading, and other tailored courses in a very supportive academic setting. 

    • English 100, with BENG 052 (English 12) as the support course, and
    • USSD 110 (Reading Dynamics-a first year university level reading course)
    • Several optional courses based on your learning goals (computers, math, history)
    • BENG 052 is a tuition-free course, English 100 & USSD 100 charge standard tuition.
