If you want the best competitive advantage in your career, then the Bachelor of Tourism Management is your starting point. The four- year degree provides you with the skills, knowledge and experience to move into managerial roles that make an impact within the businesses you work. We are the only public post-secondary institution in the lower mainland that offers a Bachelor of Tourism Management and now, you can specialize your degree even further with two concentration options. These are a set of eight courses taken throughout the four years.

Select this option as part of the degree if you are interested in developing your career within hotels or resort environments. Whether you want to work in a more urban setting, tourism destination or an all-inclusive, these courses provide specific skills and knowledge in the management and decision-making required in this highly competitive field.
Courses were developed through extensive consultation with our industry friends and focus on the interrelationship of departments, stakeholders and suppliers. Graduates work in a variety of roles including front desk, operations, rooms, sales, conference services and food & beverage.
Selecting this option as part of the degree you are interested in developing your career with outdoor tourism operations. Courses focus on activities as part of the vacation experience. The development of appropriate activity programming, sporting events, and using adventure tourism as catalyst for community based tourism are just a few of the skills and knowledge required for this complex industry.
Graduates work in a variety of positions including group sales, front office, activity programming, and community development.
Have you already attended a college or university elsewhere? We accept courses from other institutions that may count towards your degree. Your best bet is to consult the BC Transfer Guide and to get you started. Once you're accepted you can work with an academic advisor.
