Costuming for Stage & Screen Diploma Program Student Learning Outcomes

    • Apply advanced levels of research techniques and technical expertise in specific costuming skills (ie: cutter, stitcher, dyer, costume designer, assistant designer, costume set supervisor, department coordinator).
    • Assemble a comprehensive portfolio of work specific to the costuming field and their area of interest.
    • Work in positions of responsibility within an environment reflective of the industry, employ appropriate protocols and procedures, and confidently lead the costume team by successfully demonstrating professional standards in leadership, collaboration and communication skills.
    • Develop a personal network of contacts, connections and resources within the industry with a clear sense of their personal value and contribution to the costume department and to the overall production or project.
    • Confidently formulate a strategic plan for entry and advancement within the profession in the local, national or global markets.
