Dwayne Beaver is a writer, director and producer working in
fllm, television, digital media and animation. His dramatic credits
include The Rhino
Brothers, Robson Arms, Alice I Think, Shadow Raiders/War Planets
and APTN's Moccasin
Flats. His factual work includes Glutton for Punishment,
Oprah's Million Dollar Neighbourhood, Road Hockey Rumble and Conviction Kitchen,
for which he won the Best Direction Gemini Award in a reality series.
Dwayne also teaches filmmaking, communication, media and cultural studies at
Capilano and Royal Roads Universities. He served as The Rogers
Multicultural Teaching Fellow from 2010-2013 and became the Phil Lind
Artist in Residence in 2013 at the University of British Columbia.
Along with his pedagogical pursuits, Dwayne is currently focused on making
social science documentaries.
