ANTHEA MALLINSON (Tapestry, weaving, dyeing) is a graduate of the Tapestry Department at West Dean College, Sussex, England, where she studied in the late 1970s. She has exhibited her tapestries in England, Canada, the U.S. and Japan. She shared the task of organizing "Making a Place for Tapestry Symposium 1993" and editing the resulting publication. She was project manager and fund raiser for the B.C. STARS Community Tapestry for the Dr. Peter AIDS Center. Anthea also contributed to the B.C. STARS publication (2000), "Weaving Between the Lines". Commissions include the altar piece for a convent in Calgary. She has extensive experience as a dyer and works as Key Dyer for major feature films. Anthea also teaches in the Costuming for Stage and Screen program as well as in the Textile Arts Department.
