  • Bachelor of Legal Studies (Paralegal)
Capilano University is launching a new degree for paralegals starting in September 2010. It will appeal primarily to high school graduates interested in pursuing a career in law working on all aspects of legal files and disputes under the supervision of a lawyer. Up until now, students wanting to train as paralegals had to be working in a legal setting already (for the part-time Paralegal Certificate) or have at least two years of post-secondary education (for the full-time Paralegal Diploma). This new degree provides a training option for applicants who don't have prior legal experience or post-secondary education.
