University Transfer Courses

All the courses offered by our Department are university transferable to other local universities. Students may complete the equivalent of one (or two) year(s) of university studies at Capilano University and transfer directly into another local university's second (or third) year Computer Science degree program. Students who do not require the complete set of Computing Science courses may also take individual courses for specific university transfer credits.

Please check the university transfer guide at BCCAT (British Columbia Transfer Guide) Web site for further transfer information.

Our Mission

We deliver a university transfer program that provides a strong foundation to the theoretical as well as practical aspects of Computer Science. We make learning fun for the students by employing interesting examples and projects, such as programming games, using graphics and robots, developing web-based projects, and the building of a microprocessor. Our curriculum covers object-oriented programming, software engineering, user-interface design, web programming, operating systems, computer architecture and hardware.

Degree or Diploma Program

Capilano University offers an Associate of Science degree with a concentration in Computer Science to students who have completed two years of university transfer courses according to the requirements in the Associate of Science Degree Profile .

Students interested in a more flexible program may wish to consider the Computing Science Diploma Profile .

Please note : second year courses in these programs will run only when sufficient student demand exists. Please enquire.
