    Capilano offers a wide variety of programs. It is important to check individual program web sites for information that may be specific to those programs.

    Capilano University Calendar

    The Capilano University Calendar is the official publication of regulations, policies, programs, requirements and course descriptions produced annually by Capilano University. It is an indispensable resource and we urge you to refer to it as you make your way through the application process and your time as a Capilano student.

  • Application Notes

    The Letter of Interest should outline the applicant's career goals and objectives in the field of Human Kinetics.  This letter will describe to the selection committee why you would like to enter the field of Human Kinetics, and why you would be an excellent candidate for admission.

    The applicant’s choice of stream (Exercise Science or Physical Education) must be stated in the letter.  The letter must be signed by the author. A well written Letter of Interest may be one to two pages in length, containing the following information:

    • The applicant's interest in Human Kinetics
    • The applicant's volunteer experience including length of time at each organization as well as the total hours
    • The applicant's life experience, such as world  travel, work experience, or any unique challenges they may have faced growing up
    • The applicant's sporting career and achievements
    • The full name and address of the applicant and the Capilano University student number

    A personal resume may be sent in addition if the applicant thinks this will enhance the application.

    Applicants must provide the name and contact information, including a phone number and email address, of two references. The references may not be family members and should be able to confirm the information provided in your letter of interest. 

    Grade 12 Applicants: Students graduating from grade 12 who would like to register for the Human Kinetics diploma program at Capilano University, must submit an interim transcript. This document will inform the selection committee of the courses you are presently taking and will assist with offering conditional acceptance into the program before June. This offer depends on the final examination marks of the applicant. Final grades will be sent to the Registrars Office at Capilano University in June by the Ministry of Education. Please ask your high school administration for an interim transcript and send it directly to the Department of Human Kinetics by March 31st.

    Please note:  Incomplete applications will not be processed.  University applications must be submitted to the Registrar's Office while the  Letter of Interest and supporting documents must be sent to the Department of Human Kinetics.  All documents must be signed.
