First Year Literature

  • In first year literature courses, students read works in the major genres, as well as study hybrid genres, new media, and film.  First year courses are: English 103, Studies in Contemporary Literature; English 109, Issues in Contemporary Literature and Culture; and English 107, First Nations Literature and Film.   Multiple sections of English 103 and 109 are offered each term.

    The specific content and reading lists differs for individual sections of first-year literature course.  Please consult the courses listed below for specific details.
