LAW 101 Introduction to Law

This course introduces students to the legal system in Canada, starting with the forms and sources of law, followed by an exploration of the Constitution, which is the framework for all Canadian law. The constitutional section of the course emphasizes the division of legislative authority between the provinces and the federal government, and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The course also introduces students to legal professional responsibility, as well as topics such as administrative law, private law, Indigenous law, and international law.
