This is a workshop course designed to introduce students to the art of the actor, with a focus on physical work, vocal work, textual analysis, and developing the students' awareness of practical acting tools and techniques. Students will apply approaches and techniques taught in class to a variety of situations and exercises, including written assignments, monologues and scene work.

Course Notes

For Acting for Stage and Screen and Musical Theatre program students only. ACTR 100 is equivalent to THTR 130. Duplicate credit will not be granted for this course and THTR 130.
