Take a Campus Tour
Capilano U is located in Vancouver, a city which is consistently ranked as one of the world's most livable by The Economist Intelligence Unit.
Breathe in the clean air of the North Shore Mountains at the Capilano U North Vancouver campus, as you study surrounded by gorgeous nature, in a major cosmopolitan city, only 20 minutes from downtown’s shopping, restaurants, entertainment options, arts, culture, night life and more.
Capilano U offers a great sense of community to over 8,200 students (of that, almost 1,500 international) across 69 nationalities. You will be able to make lots of friends quickly and gain a sense of belonging.
Capilano U is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), a U.S. based accrediting body. The University is also recognized by the British Columbia's Education Quality Assurance [EQA] designation, which is Canada's first and only provincial brand of quality for post-secondary education. Capilano U credentials are recognized around the world, whether you are interested in pursuing graduate studies or employment in Canada or abroad.
There are two types of universities; research institutions and teaching institutions. Capilano professors do not have competing priorities, their main focus is on teaching students and prioritizing their academic success.
There are no 300+ lecture halls at Capilano U. They simply don't exist! Small classes of 29 students on average allow for professors to offer individualized support and attention to every student in class. Your professor will know your name and you will not feel like a number.
Learning from professors who have practical work experience in the industry they are teaching about is incredibly valuable. Not only are students able to learn about theory; they get exposure to industry and opportunities to tap into their professors' professional network of contacts.
Tuition fees at Capilano U are often lower than other reputable Canadian Universities.
Gain valuable practical experience through group work, case studies, competitions, internships, co-op practicums, volunteerism, and community service.
