The Interactive Design program blends creativity, interactive technology and business to give you the tools and experience you need to launch your career in the digital world.
The 2 year diploma program delivers instruction in website and mobile design and development; people and information interaction; rich media (audio and video) production; business strategy and communications, and continuously connects you with contacts in the burgeoning new media industry. Design instruction includes information architecture, user experience, usability testing, and visual design. Development instruction focuses on HTML5, CSS3, javascript, jQuery, PHP, database design and CMS, and mobile development toolkits.
With balanced instruction in web and mobile design and development you learn how to plan, design and build complex web sites and mobile applications. Throughout your courses you will real world projects, develop your digital portfolio, build industry connections and gain valuable industry work experience. The program culminates with a six week internship placement with a company that needs your talents.
Classes are led by industry professionals in a dedicated digital media lab outfitted with the most current hardware and software. Developed with industry input, the Interactive Design program is designed to equip you with the practical skills and knowledge that employers are looking for - giving you a competitive advantage in the job market.
