As the exclusive post-secondary partner of We Day Vancouver, Capilano University will celebrate on campus by holding Justice High, a series of workshops for high school students that are designed to educate and inspire youth to become changemakers in their communities.

Organized by Capilano U Global Stewardship students and a group of international student leaders, the event includes inspiring speakers and interactive workshops by organizations such as Oxfam, Amnesty International, Check Your Head, and Stratosphere. Topics include: Climate Justice; Behind the Brands - A look into local farming and food sources; and careers in the international development sector. Students will also have the opportunity to sit in on university classes from a variety of faculties, tour the university, and network with a dozen NGOs who will set up booths at Cap. They can even join Cap students and watch a live stream of We Day Vancouver!

Capilano University wants youth to know that the energy and great work of We Day doesn’t have to end at high school graduation. At Capilano U, the culture of changemaking is fostered and built into many of our programs and initiatives, empowering students to reach their fullest potential as agents of change and lifelong, global citizens, while completing a degree at Capilano.

More than 65 students from five schools will be participating in this invitation-only event. Participants should check in outside the CSU lounge (LB195) on the main floor of the Library building at 8:45 a.m.
