Masa is an award-winning writer who has worked in print, film, and digital media. He writes primarily about travel, the outdoors, and subcultures. Publications he's written for include Canadian Geographic, The Walrus, Western Living, and The Globe & Mail. He has written produced feature film screenplays, and for an off-grid cabin venture on Haida Gwaii, he scripted and hosted a yearlong web series for High Fidelity HDTV. MasaOffgrid also aired as a TV documentary on the radX channel and was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award. Previously, he worked for management consulting firms on international projects in over a dozen countries. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from the University of British Columbia and a Masters of Business Administration from McGill University.
