Eldercollege is a program for people 55 plus. We provide a forum for sharing ideas, knowledge and experience. We foster a friendly environment where it’s easy to make new friends and learn for the sheer enjoyment of it. There are no exams, no deadlines and no pressure. And each term we offer a mix of courses that are as eclectic as your interests.


Fall 2010 Preview of Courses

 

Come and hear about the exciting courses being offered during the Eldercollege Fall 2010 Term that cover subjects from mushrooms to potter’s studios and unusual travel adventures to the current digital revolution taking place in communications and science. Take advantage to guarantee yourself a place in the sessions through early registration. Also, Gary Little will describe why the course Sunshine Coast Historic Maps, is one of the most popular Eldercollege courses.

ElderCollege 2010 Clifford Smith Memorial Lecture

Speaker: Bill Good, the popular CTV “News at Six” Anchor and a long-running talk-show host on CKNW. A broadcaster for over 25 years, Bill has won the LEO Award in 2003 and a Best Broadcaster ACTRA Award in 1991. He anchored CBC's Evening News for 20 years, spent a decade doing “Hockey Night in Canada”, covered the 1972 and '76 Olympics and more recently the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games. His “rest hours” are spent on the Sunshine Coast.
