This hands-on introductory course covers the basics you need to get you feeling more comfortable operating a computer. Starting with an overview of the Windows operating system, the course progresses through some of the basics of folder and file management, the Internet (searches and safe site recognition), and basics of using email. Students have opportunities to be introduced to and dabble in Microsoft 2010 Word, Excel and Publisher. This course is designed for beginners; more advanced users may want to consider Basic Computer Maintenance or a Word or Excel course.
