WordPress has rapidly become one of the most popular methods for web beginners and even experienced web designers to launch sophisticated blogsites and websites without the pain of having to pre-learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other traditional web creation languages. Dreamweaver CS5
With this course, you’ll be on your way to becoming a Dreamweaver power user. Learn to use Dreamweaver’s site management and page design tools, harness the power of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to control formatting of multiple web pages, and create sophisticated navigation bars, image rollover effects, and multimedia inserts. As the course progresses, advanced concepts will be introduced, including CSS liquid layouts, JavaScript behaviours, web form creation, and use of Server Side tools to build dynamic, interactive web pages. This course is aimed at both PC and Mac users of Dreamweaver CS3 or higher. In class, we will use Dreamweaver CS5 for Windows with frequent side-by-side comparisons with other versions. Please bring a USB drive to the first class.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of the HTML to CSS course (see above) or equivalent hands-on HTML experience (some CSS experience will be useful). If unsure, please contact the instructor before registering.
