      March Break Camps Refund Policy

      Any withdrawal from a March Break Camp must be received at Continuing Education by February 28, 2013 and is subject to a $35 administration fee.

      After February 28, 2013 all March Break Camps are 100 per cent non-refundable.

      Kodaly Orff Music for Children Ages 3 ½ - 5

      Children enjoy musical activities and learn music concepts through song, expressive movement, dance, percussion instruments and xylophones. This special March Break camp also includes demonstrations and musical examples on real orchestral instruments!

      LEGO Beginners: Simple and Motorized Machines Ages 8 – 12

      Ever wonder how a helicopter works? Or a chainsaw? Or a trash compactor? In our introductory camp, you will use a variety of specialized LEGO Dacta and Education kits to build all kinds of cool machines that use gears, pulleys, levers, belts, and even pneumatic pumps and pistons. Many of the machines you will build are powered with LEGO motors, and some can even be connected to a computer and programmed to work.

      LEGO Intermediate: Motorized Machines Ages 8 – 12

      Want to take your LEGO building skills to the next level? Our intermediate camp is for those of you who took our beginner course or who have some experience building with LEGO Technic. You will build more complex machines and motorized mechanisms including a dragster, a working grandfather clock, robotic animals, a power generating wind turbine, a ferris wheel, and a pneumatic claw. This camp will also include an introduction to LEGO Mindstorms robotics system.

      What’s Up Doc? Ages 5 – 8

      So you want to be a doctor? Join us in the lab and use stethoscopes, thermometers, reflex hammers, and much more in this informative and fun camp. Check out what gives our body shape as you meet Skeleton Sam and examine his x-rays to diagnose any problems. Check out your five senses and how they work as you make a model eye and ear drum. You’ll be ready for your MD in no time after these interactive and educational activities!

      Planet Earth Rocks Ages 6 – 9

      Earth, air, fire and water – this camp has them all! Discover the amazing world of plants as you make a greenhouse, Chia Pet and more. Explore weather and air pressure by constructing a rain stick and weather station. Catch some rays and learn about the sun as you build a solar oven and discover the hidden energy in sunlight. Finally, make a splash as we explore the water cycle and learn cool water tricks.

      Make Art! Ages 8 – 12

      Explore and develop your artistic abilities through drawing, collage and mixed media projects. Create three- dimensional sculptures from wire, plaster and found objects.       Digital Photography Ages 8 – 12

      Bring your digital camera to this hands-on workshop and learn to capture wonderful images using proven techniques. Explore lots of different kinds of photography including people, sports, objects, nature and scenery.
