Kodaly Orff Music for Children
Ages 1 – 7 (ongoing registration)

Kodaly Orff Music for Children is a unique music program developed at Capilano University in which children experience the joy of making music through song, expressive movement, dance, percussion instruments and xylophones. While enjoying musical ‘games’ your child develops skills such as singing in tune, recognizing melodic intervals and rhythm patterns, and reading and writing music. Concepts such as dynamics, form, tempo and phrasing are explored through song, movement, and instruments.
Kodaly Orff Music for Children classes are ideal preparation for children wishing to continue into our CapPiano, Suzuki Strings, or Guitar programs. Your child will gain both music literacy and an enjoyment of music that they will carry with them to future instrumental or vocal studies.

Locations: Classes are held at Capilano University, St. Catherine’s Anglican Church (1058 Ridgewood Ave. in Edgemont Village), and West Vancouver Community Centre (2121 Marine Drive).
REGISTRATION:
Our Kodaly Orff Music for Children program features ongoing registration September through June so you can register your child any time throughout the year as long as there is space in your preferred class. Register early as space is limited. Please call 604.984.4901 for information on fees, availability, and to register.
Although some classes may be currently full, openings are filled on an ongoing basis throughout the year, so please don’t hesitate to call us at 604.984-4901.
