Noel obtained a double major in Economics and Political Science from the University of Calgary and completed an Interdisciplinary Masters degree from UBC. He also completed a diploma in adult education. He has worked in finance, pharmaceutical, aviation, commercial property development, health care, and academia, having held frontline operations and management positions. He also worked for the Winter Olympics in Calgary in 1988, and created educational courses for Capilano University for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
In his current role as an instructor at Capilano University, he specializes in teaching Human Resources Management, Operations Management, Project Management, Organizational Behaviour, Marketing, Retail Marketing, Customer Relationship and Data Base Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Planning, and Leadership. Noel has spent over 15 years designing, delivering and evaluating workshops and lectures for industry, as well as for post secondary programs and courses.
Noel’s career as a training professional has spanned both public and private sector industry such as BCIT, Langara College, Capilano University, Cadillac Fairview, FGI, St Elizabeth Health Care Air Canada, CIDA, Barclays Bank, and Eli Lilly. He also operated his own training consultancy and provided training and development services to an array of industry sectors including the Winter Olympics of 1988 and 2010, insurance, public safety, post secondary, municipal government, and health.
