work was to develop and align strategic human resources solutions to support
desired business results.  Her client base ranged from organizations in private enterprise, advanced education, federal, provincial and municipal governments, crown corporations and small business and the non-profit sector.

Kathryn joined Capilano University in 2000 in the Human Resources department and began
teaching in the School of Business shortly thereafter.  She has brought the same focus of connecting
strategic HR to business results to her work as a faculty member. She designed
the Advanced Diploma in Strategic HRM which has allowed students the ability to
name a specialization on their BBA.  She created and delivered the HR World Café which has been adopted by BC HRMA and
now is offered across the province to HR students.  Her students are active in the CUBES - HR
Club and create opportunities to practice their skills in the Vancouver volunteer community.

Kathryn also has a strong interest in international development – specifically in the
area of building capacity in developing countries.   She has traveled widely in Asia, Eastern
Europe and Africa.  She led the Capilano University China Field School in 2009 and 2010.

Currently, Kathryn teaches courses in human resources management, organization change
management and organizational behavior. Kathryn is also a silversmith and a musician.
