Pamela Rounis: Design ninja
November 3, 2014
If you are in any way a part of Vancouver's burgeoning design scene, chances are you know of Cap's highly regarded IDEA School of Design. "IDEA has a reputation for creating extremely hirable graduates," says Pamela Rounis. "We're taught how to think conceptually along with the hard skills necessary to execute. We're basically design ninjas."
Since graduating in 2010, Pamela has been at the forefront of Vancouver advertising. After interning at Cossette-one of the top marketing agencies in the world-she was snatched up by North Vancouver's own BRANDFX where she worked for three and a half years.
"The IDEA program did an incredible job of preparing me; every instructor has real life experience and still works in the field, the amount of connections this gives students is invaluable."
Nowadays, Pamela is a designer at Rethink, one of Vancouver's top advertising agencies, where she works with clients such as Shaw, Molson and A&W. As if that wasn't enough, in her spare time, she also works as the lead designer for local arts and culture magazine Sad Mag.
