Vida is a founding partner of Hangar 18 Creative Group, whose work has been recognized by Communication Arts, Applied Arts, The One Show, Graphis, the Summit Awards and New York Festivals. Vida has been fascinated by design from the day she discovered the intricate details and extraordinary anatomy of flies' bodies, during her childhood in Australia. Having a designer mother and architect father ensured that design was part of her DNA. Her expertise includes art direction, layout and conceptual deign, and in addition to her creative director role at Hangar 18, Vida teaches Package Design, Typography and Applied Design part time in the IDEA Program at Capilano University and at Vancouver Film School. Her career spans three decades, and she has worked for advertising agencies (including Palmer Jarvis, now known as DDB), and as an in-house creative director for the Hudson's Bay Company and Woodwards Department Stores.

She has been a judge for the Ottawa Advertising Association Awards, Western Canadian Magazine Awards, Salazar Student Awards, Saskatoon Elevator Awards, Applied Arts Magazine Design Awards and Unisource "Be Seen" Design & Printing Awards.
