Students from Other Provinces

The admission average is calculated on the required senior English course or courses (i.e. group requirement #1) and on the three best academic courses offered in the other course groups as shown below.

Alberta, Northwest Territories and Nunavut

Applicants must supply evidence of academic grade 12 completion leading to graduation and include at least four courses, selected as follows:

  1. English Language Arts 30-1 or English 30; and
  2. At least three additional courses selected from among: Algebra 30, Aboriginal Studies 30, Biology 30, Chemistry 30, Languages 30, Languages 31, Language & Literature 30/31, Applied Math 30, Pure Math 30, Math 31, Physics 30, Social Studies 30, Science 30, Western World History 30, World Geography 30

Admission average will be based on English Language Arts 30-1 or  English 30 and the three best courses in group two.

Saskatchewan

Applicants must supply evidence of completion of academic level three (grade 12) leading to graduation, including at least five academic subjects selected as follows:

  1. English A30 and B30; and
  2. At least three additional 30 numbered courses selected from among: Biology 30, Calculus 30, Chemistry 30, Computer Science 30, Economics 30, Geography 30, Geology 30, History 30, Law 30, Math A30, B30, and C30, Native Studies 30, Physics 30, Social Studies 30, Second Language 30.

Admission average will be based on English A30, B30 and the three best courses in group two.

Note: English is a double course so this average is over five courses but only four subject areas.

Manitoba

Applicants must supply evidence of completion of an academic program which will lead to graduation and includes at least four courses selected as follows:

  1. English 40G and English 40S or English 40S (2 credits); and
  2. At least three additional courses selected from Biology 40S, Chemistry 40S, Computer Science 40S, World Geography 40S, History 40S, Language 40S, Mathematics 40G or 40S, Physics 40S, Social Studies 40S, Western Civilization 40S, World Issues 40S, Applied Math 40S or Precalculus Math 40S, Physical Science 40S, Math 40S, Economics 40S, Law 40S.

Admission average will be based on English 40G and 40S, or English 40S (2 credits) and the three best courses in group two.

Note: Mathematics 45A may not be used.

Ontario

Old Curriculum

Applicants must supply evidence of completion of the OSSD including four OAC's and including the following:

  1. English OAC; and
  2. At least three additional OAC courses selected from English, Français, other languages, Algebra and Geometry, Finite Math, Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Computing Science, Physics, Geography, History, Economics, Law, Literature, Modern Western Civilization, North American Perspectives. 

Admission average will be based on OAC English or Français and the three best courses in group two.

New Curriculum

Applicants must supply evidence of completion of the new Ontario Grade 12 graduation, including the following:

  1. ENG4U; and
  2. At least 3 additional 4U/M courses selected from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Advanced Functions and Introductory Calculus, Economics, Geometry and Discrete Mathematics, or Mathematics of Data Management, Literature, World Geography, Canada; History, Identity and Culture, French, Second Language, World Issues: Geographic Analysis. 

Admission average will be based on English 4U and three acceptable courses from group two.

Quebec

CEGEP: Applicants from a CEGEP must present either a completed DEC or at least one year of an approved academic program.

Grade 12: Applicants from Quebec Grade 12 must present the following:

  1. English 12; and
  2. At least three additional university preparatory grade 12 courses selected from History, Languages, Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Social Sciences. 

Admission average will be based on English 12 and the three best courses in group two.

New Brunswick

Applicants must supply evidence of completion of an academic (i.e. college preparatory) program which will lead to graduation and includes at least four courses as follows:

  1. English 121 or 122; and
  2. At least three additional grade 12 academic (college preparatory) courses selected from among Biology 121 or 122, Chemistry 121 or 122, Canadian Geography 120, Canadian History 121 or 122, Canadian Lit 120, Physics 121 or 122, Trig and 3 Space 122 or Advanced Math 120, or Advanced Math with Calculus 120, Geology 120, Language 120 or 122, World Issues 120, Law 120, Political Science 120, Economics 120, Calculus 120, Native Studies 120, Environmental Science 122, Science 122. 

Admission average will be based on English 121 or 122 and the three best courses in group two.

Prince Edward Island

Applicants must supply evidence of completion of an academic or advanced academic program which will lead to graduation and includes at least four academic and/or advanced academic subjects selected as follows:

  1. English 611 or 621; and
  2. At least three additional courses numbered 611 or 621 from Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Advanced Math, Physics, Geography, Economics, History, Law, Language, Political Studies.

Admission average will be based on English 611 or 621 and the three best courses in group two.

Nova Scotia

Applicants must supply evidence of completion of an academic (i.e. university preparatory) program which will lead to graduation, including at least four subjects selected as follows:

  1. English 12; and
  2. At least three additional grade 12 courses selected from African Heritage Literature 12History 12 or Global History 12, Language 12, Geograhphy 12 or Geography 12, Advanced Biology 12, Biology 12, Chemistry 12, Math 12 or Precalculus Math 12, Calculus12, Physics12, Geology 12, Canadian Lit 12, Economics 12, Political Science 12, Computer Related Studies 12, Law 12.

Admission average will be based on English 12 and the three best courses in group two.

Newfoundland and Labrador

Applicants must supply evidence of completion of an academic program which will lead to graduation and includes at least 13 credits as follows:

  1. English 3201 and
  2. Any three additional selected from World History 3201, Language 3200 level, World Geography 3202, Biology 3201, Chemistry 3202, Math 3103 or Math 3204 or Math 3205 or Math 3207, Calculus 3207, Geology 3203, Language 3104, Physics 3204, Earth Systems 3209, Environmental Science 3205, Folk Literature 3203, Global Issues 3205, World Religions 3103.

Admission average will be based on English and the three best courses in group two.
