U-PASS

The U-Pass program is in effect at Capilano University.  Purchase of the U-Pass will be mandatory for all Capilano Students’ Union members in one or more credit classes held at the North Vancouver campus. The U-Pass charge is $124.00 per term effective Fall 2010.  Although courses have varying start dates, the Fall Term U-Pass is effective from September 1, 2010 until December 31, 2010. For U-Pass eligible courses, the full U-Pass charge will apply regardless of when you register or the duration of your course.  Please register before the start of term to take full advantage of the 4 month U-Pass. Certain specialized programs or courses have particular tuition or other fees which vary from those stated above. Refer to Tuition & Other Fees for further information on these specialized courses or programs.

* The University is required to charge international students a tuition fee which fully covers course costs.

Admission/Readmission Fees

All students are required to pay a non-refundable fee when submitting their application for admission or re-admission to the University or to a program.

Every term, students are required to pay certain incidental fees in addition to course tuition.

* Students attending classes in Sechelt, Squamish or off-campus are not required to pay the Students' Union Membership fee, the Building Levy, the Capilano Courier fee or the U-Pass.

** The Capilano Courier fee is not charged during the Summer term.

Individuals Exempt from Tuition Fees

If you are a person aged 65 years or older, you are exempt from paying the standard per credit tuition fee and tuition surcharges when enrolling in most courses, as long as you provide proper identification. However, you are still responsible for any other fees, as well as for the incidental fees noted above. For a complete list of other fees, please refer to Tuition & Other Fees . If you are unsure whether a course qualifies for exemption, please contact the Cashier's Office.
