Nicholas Cartmell is an
executive leader, communications marketer, and digital strategist who thrives
on inspiring award-winning teams through a focus on culture and performance
development. He served 14 years at TELUS, most recently in dual roles as
Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives & Partnerships and Senior Director
& Vice Chair of Government Relations. His experience includes
branding, business planning, corporate marketing, complex technology
transactions, multimedia production, and stakeholder management.
Active in his community,
Nicholas served as chair of the business and community engagement committee for
the 102nd Grey Cup Festival in Vancouver and has been active with the BC Lions
Football Club’s Waterboys organization since 2011. He was also a director
of the Vancouver Chapter of the Sponsorship Marketing Council of Canada.
Nicholas holds an honours
diploma in Radio & Television Arts from the Northern Alberta Institute of
Technology and also completed the Directors of Not-For-Profit Organizations
Governance Essentials program from the Institute of Corporate Directors. He
currently serves as chair of Capilano University’s Investment Committee and is
a member of the Executive Committee and Policy & Planning Committee.
