Cherian
Itty is the Owner and Managing Director for Comfort Keepers in North & West
Vancouver, a company that provides in-home care services for seniors on the
North Shore.
Cherian
managed F&B operations for Oberoi Hotels (India) and Carnival Cruise Lines
(USA), prior to completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management from
Capilano University and MBA from Queen’s University in Ontario. He managed
financial services with Manulife Financial and Intrawest ULC before taking the
entrepreneurial plunge with Comfort Keepers.
A founding director of
the Capilano University Alumni Association and past director of the Capilano
Students’ Union, Cherian is active in initiatives that assist seniors, students
and new immigrants. In addition to serving on the Board of Governors for
Capilano University and the Building Committee for St. George Malankara
Orthodox Church (Surrey), his company is an industry partner for the North
Shore Meals-on-Wheels and MOSAIC’s Care-Aide Training for Employment (CATE)
program. Cherian and his wife have two young children, and are residents of
North Vancouver.
